A Message Regarding Coronavirus/COVID-19

In light of the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic, we would like to let you know some of the additional precautions we are taking in our office to keep both the front reception area and back office environment sanitized and safe. Our highest priority is to ensure the safety of every individual who walks through our door, as well as our team members, every day. We are taking extreme infection-control measures to maintain the cleanliness of surfaces, and the air in our environment. Some of these measures include the following:

Reception Room and Front Office Check-in
-The opportunity to fill out the COVID-19 screening, Health History Update, and Consent forms online on our newly updated website: www.EncinitasCosmeticDentistry.com
-The option to fill out office forms on a sanitized iPad at the office
– All patients entering the practice will be asked to wear state-mandated face masks
– Practicing social distancing
– COVID-19 screenings all patients
– Checking the temperatures of all patients and team members daily
– Minimizing the number of people in the reception area and checkout area
– Disinfecting all reception room surfaces
– Circulating the entire office air supply with an IQ Air Hyper-HEPPA Air Purification System (the IQ Air verifiably filters out air particles down to .003 microns [virus size])
– Removal of magazines and informational pamphlets

In Our Patient Treatment Rooms
Doctors and staff will be:

– Washing hands thoroughly and applying an alcohol-based hand sanitizer between each patient
– Wearing N95, KN95, and/or Level 3 face masks while treating patients
– Continuing to wear single-use gloves.
– Wearing full length disposable gowns or long laundered lab coats
– Wearing face shields, using high evacuation during aerosolizing procedure
– All patients are asked to pre-rinse with a hydrogen peroxide antimicrobial mouthwash
– Allowing sufficient time per appointment for proper infection control
– Continuing to sterilize our instruments after each use in an autoclave (a high-pressure steam oven) to kill every known infectious organism, including coronavirus
– Continuing to wipe down all dental equipment after each patient visit with a medical-grade disinfectant that kills all known infectious diseases, including coronavirus
– Air Purifier

Front Checkout Desk
– Hand sanitizer provided for all patients before and after appointments
– Sanitized pens
– Wearing a mask and social distancing requested when leaving
– Plexiglass shield to protect our patients and front office team
